Reflections on how the year is going

In a previous post I described and presented my life strategy for 2014. This being Easter, the day we celebrate Jesus conquering death, its time to report in and reflect on how I'm progressing on my two goals.

Financial - excitedly I report that God heard my prayers, worked on my husband's heart with no nagging or prodding from me, and we entered into a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace class. After 3 months we are living financial peace. But more than that we have drawn closer in our relationship, we've bonded in a deeper way I didn't know existed, and we're truly one in Christ in everything. God blessed me greatly by this man as my husband. My respect and love for him overflows everyday.
Thanks to Northway Christian Community for hosting the class.

Health, well........still working on this one. But the good news is the snow has stopped, we're out hiking, I've been walking at work during my lunch hour, and my man is getting our bikes ready. We've cut out ice cream every night and only have it Saturday night. We eat healthy, I just eat a lot.
I'm learning not to eat my work stress and rely on Jesus more. He is my rock and my comfort, not chips and cheesy nachos, or Oreos. He has a work for me to do and I need to be ready to do it.

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand  of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered awhile, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever. Amen." 1Peter 5:6-11

Happy Easter friends! He is Risen, He knows and loves you deeply and wants a relationship with you.
